Oh my family,
I know what you´re thinking from my subject line... that silly Hermana Diehl, asking for letters. Doesn´t she know she´s been out long enough that most people have forgotten that she´s missing and are just going to wait until right before she gets home to write her one last letter? No es así. [It is not so.] I would like to ask my family if they would write a letter or two to give to my and hermana Bentley´s investigator Maria. She will be getting baptized this Saturday the 12th. She has so much faith. She´s an example to me. She accepted a baptizmal date only a few days after meeting us and coming to church for the first time and she´s learning about everything and accepting all of the... compromisos (comittments? quizás [perhaps]) we give her. And here in the Palma Zone the zone leaders asked us to ask our families to write to our baptismal date people and encourage and support them. They were talking about how we can translate the letters to Spanish, and if anyone wants to write her a note in English I can translate it for you, of course. If anyone who already speaks Spanish wants to write her a note as well, that would be excellent. How blessed we are to know two languages, no? We need to share our talents more. Maria is from Ecuador and has a 15 year old son that still lives there named Moises. She also has a 1 year old son named Pau that lives here with her. I love her so much and I´m so glad to be able to teach her the gospel and help her feel the love of Heavenly Father. Entonces, por favor, ¿ayudenme? [So, please, help me?]

I got a note from Hermana Grant (aka Melanie) correcting me... and I laughed when I read it because I do this all the time... but I always right ¨bale¨ instead of ¨vale¨. It´s the crazy b-v problem! Spanish is a great language, but it´s not perfect! And niether am I, gracias hermana mia. [thanks sister of mine.]
Thanks for your letter mom and dad- I will be praying for Kade Backus. I hope he is improving quickly. Thanks for the story about your missionary efforts papa. I think that every seed planted is worth it, and you´re showing Heavenly Father how much you love Him by trying to share one of the best things we have in this life with those who don´t have it. I love the gospel so much. I know that it´s true! We really can live with Heavenly Father one day. And that´s where I want to be.
